Jubilee Music & Arts Festival Awards (JMAF)

The JMAF Awards is the pinnacle of talents and arts recognition event of the Omega Fire Ministries International (OFM), organised by the global talents and arts arm of the ministry; OITA. Omega Fire Ministries International is a dynamic faith-based organisation led by Apostle Johnson Suleman & Dr. Lizzy Johnson-Suleman. The event is designed to recognize, celebrate, and elevate exceptional talents from the ministry’s global community. Held annually, the awards bring together outstanding artists from various creative disciplines, highlighting their contributions to gospel arts and their impact within both the ministry and the wider world.

Vision and Objectives:

The JMAF Awards aims to:

  1. Discover and Nurture Talent: Showcase emerging and established talents across OFM’s international branches, providing a platform for them to be recognized on local, national, and global
  2. Celebrate Creativity: Recognize excellence in music, drama, spoken word, dance, and other art forms, underscoring the importance of using artistic talents for ministry and evangelism.
  3. Foster Global Participation: Encourage participation from all OFM regions, ensuring inclusiveness and diversity through representation from different continents, cultures, and creative forms.
  4. Mentorship and Development: Use the event as a platform to offer mentorship, training, and development opportunities for artists, ensuring long-term growth and sustainability in their

Process and Structure:

The awards follow a multistage selection process:

  1. Local and National Talent Committees: Talent submissions are first reviewed at local church levels, with the best artists advancing to the national and continental talent committees.
  2. Continental Talent Committees: These committees filter out the top talents from each continent, ensuring global
  3. Jury and Judging: A diverse panel of judges, consisting of industry professionals, gospel ministers, and experts from various art forms, ensures a fair and transparent evaluation of all
  4. Public Voting: Some categories may include public voting, allowing the global OFM community to participate in selecting winners.

Nomination and Judging Criteria:

Artists are evaluated based on:

  • Artistic Merit: Creativity, originality, and technical
  • Impact: The effectiveness of their message in ministering the
  • Innovation: How well the artist pushes boundaries or introduces new styles or ideas.
  • Public Engagement: In categories involving public voting, audience engagement is also considered.

 

Event Highlights:

The Jubilee Music and Arts Festival culminates in a grand award ceremony, where winners are honored. The event also features performances from top gospel artists and showcases from nominees across the different categories. It’s both a celebration of talent and an opportunity to highlight the ministry’s global reach in using the arts to spread the gospel.
